Investor Visa - EB-5 Visas
The EB-5 is an investor visa that streamlines the immigration process. With an investment of $1,000,000 or $500,000 in a government sponsored regional center investment, an investor and his family can receive a green card. The investor can live anywhere in the USA; he/she may apply for US citizenship after having the green card for 5 years; and the spouse and minor children (under age 21) will also qualify as accompanying relatives.
The investment must be maintained in the USA for a period of 3 years but the investor is entitled to earn a standard US Investment return. The investor’s place of actual residence must be the USA. However, since the investor would be regarded as a US Resident, he/she will be responsible for paying US taxes on worldwide income. The investor my stay out of the USA for a period of up to 1 year but we recommend that his stay overseas not exceed 6 months.
